    Dry Skin Friendly Foundations

I wrote one of these blogs quite a while ago, and my collection has changed since then so I thought it was time to write an updated version. Finding a foundation that works with my dry skin has always been difficult. My eczema means that a lot products cling to my dry patches, irritate my sensitive skin and generally just don’t work. There are a few new and some old and trusted favourites that I reach for on all occasions. Tarte Shape Tape Hydrating Foundation This foundation is the newest to my collection, and I honestly think it’s my all time favourite. I know there was a lot of controversy…

    The Perfect Pamper Evening

Sometimes we all need a pamper night to relax and unwind, and there’s nothing I like better than a hot bath and face mask. So here’s my ultimate guide to the best pamper nights, including all the products I’m loving right now. It’s Pamper Time! It’s important that your environment around you is nice and relaxing. Get some new pjs out, put clean bedding on and light a scented candle or two. I’ve been loving this soy wax candle from the brand ‘A Pony Called Steve’, it smells of parma violets, and I mean who wouldn’t want their room to smell of it?! These candles get about 30 hours of…

    Review; Highstreet Foundation Sticks

I’ve often avoided foundation sticks, thinking that they wouldn’t blend well on my dry skin. But I decided to give a couple ago recently and well, I’m quite impressed. I have tried out the L’Oreal Infallible foundation stick and the new Makeup Revolution stick, both highstreet, super affordable and decent results. There is a great shade range with the Makeup Revolution product, although their popularity has meant it’s been hard to get hold of one in recent weeks! I tested a couple out and settled for shade F4 which is described for ‘light skin tones, with a neutral undertone’. The stick costs an unbeatable £5 and comes in nude and…

    Spring skincare picks

Spring is here (kind of) and I’ve changed up my skincare routine to keep my skin hydrated, dewy and as clear as possible. The medication I’m on at the moment means my eczema is pretty much kept at bay, so the skincare products i’m using are actually doing good things for my skin, and apart from a couple of minor flare ups my skin is the best it’s been for months. So, here are the skincare products I’ve been loving! Dermalogica Ultra Calming Cleanser I feature this in my winter skincare picks and I’m still loving it. As it says on the bottle, it’s ultra calming, which is really important…

    My favourite spring nude lipsticks

I’m packing away the berry and dark shades and digging out all my pastel pink and nude lipsticks. To be honest, I wear these shades all year round, but I thought I’d share with you my favourites as we head into spring. Smith & Cult Lip Laquer I got this in my March Birchbox as a gift for referring a friend and i LOVE it. It’s perfect on it’s own or as a lip topper. I’m quite into glossy lips right now so I think this will become a staple through the spring and summer months. Rimmel Stay Matte I’m not usually a big fan of matte lips as I…

    March Birchbox review

So the March Birchbox is here and it’s got me all ready for spring! Here’s what I got, and my first impressions of this months box. Smith & Cult lip lacquer I got this as a free gift for a referring a friend, worth £21, it’s perfect as a lip topper, or on its own. It leaves my lips with a glossy finish and I think will be a summer staple in my collection. Nice little gift to receive! Rituals The Ritual of Sakura Foaming Shower Gel I find the one product I have to be careful with on my sensitive skin is shower gel. And unfortunately this product left…

    February Beauty Picks

So the end of February is upon us, i’m taking a little look at the beauty products I have been loving this month. Profusion palette Picked this up in TK Maxx recently and i’ve fallen in love with it. I’d never come across the Profusion brand before but the colours in this palette are beautiful and the pigmentation is stunning. The range of colours is also amazing, with a perfect balance of mattes and shimmers. EX1 foundation I told myself I wasn’t going to pick up any new foundations as I already have quite the stash but i’d heard really good things about this one so I thought i’d give…
