So the March Birchbox is here and it’s got me all ready for spring! Here’s what I got, and my first impressions of this months box.
Smith & Cult lip lacquer
I got this as a free gift for a referring a friend, worth £21, it’s perfect as a lip topper, or on its own. It leaves my lips with a glossy finish and I think will be a summer staple in my collection. Nice little gift to receive!
Rituals The Ritual of Sakura Foaming Shower Gel
I find the one product I have to be careful with on my sensitive skin is shower gel. And unfortunately this product left my skin a little irritated. It went super foamy, and smelled divine but I couldn’t help feel quite itchy and uncomfortable once out of the shower. Sadly a thumbs down for me on this one, but I’m sure anyone with normal skin would love it! Will probably pass it on to a friend or family member so it gets used!
Absolution Le Nettoyant Pureté
I’ve tried a lot of cleansers that I’ve loved, so I’m pretty set on what I use. This cleanser was nice and left my skin feeling nourished, it also smelt really fresh and was a nice way of starting the day. Would I buy the full size? Probably not, it’s a little pricey (£26) and I already have a stash of cleansers, but I may consider it once I’ve used them all up. But this is why I love Birchbox, it gives you the chance to try out products each month without breaking the bank!
R + Co Badlands Dry Shampoo Paste
Meh, another dry shampoo. Seem to be getting quite a collection of these from Birchbox. I mean I like it, and it’s a great travel size to pop in my bag if i’m going away. But i’m generally not a big user of dry shampoo, I have super thick hair and I find whatever I use makes it slightly more greasy. However, I’m going to Canada in September and going to be travelling a lot so it will probably come in handy between hotels!
Benefit BADgal BANG! Volumising Mascara
I honestly can’t make my mind up about this. It gives my lashes amazing volume and thickness, but I’ve also found that if i’m not careful it can go a bit on the clumpy side. I suppose it’s all down to personal preference on how you like your lashes to look. I think i’m going to keep using it before completely making up my mind!
BLAQ Hydrogel Eye Mask
I really like these little eye masks. My eyes can feel a little sore and sensitive, and I regularly get eczema under them. I wasn’t really sure how much difference this would make but was pleasantly surprised. My under eyes felt cool and refreshed and it was a really nice way to end the day after wearing makeup! I would definitely consider buying these and using them when my skin is feeling a little tired.
What did you get in your box this month and what did you love the most? Let me know!
