January beauty picks

Spread the love

So January has been and gone, I know it seemed to drag on and on for some people, but it flew past for me! It’s no secret that your skin can be a little dull throughout the winter months, so rather than my usual bb cream for that dewy glow, i’ve been reaching for a fuller coverage base to bring my skin back to life!

Smashbox Studio Skin Foundation; Finding a full coverage foundation that doesn’t cling to my dry, eczema prone skin is not easy. A lot of fuller coverage foundations are a matte finish, and that is just a no go for me! I don’t have the money to spend on endless products to find the right one either, but i’ve had this one in my collection for quite some time and I always reach for it when I need something more than my usual bb cream! It’s a lovely coverage and finish, and it lasts the working day which is good enough for me!

Makeup Revolution Concealer; Yes i’m jumping on the bandwagon, but this concealer is bloomin amazing! It’s creamy, blends beautifully and hides my tired eyes! Best of all it comes in 18 shades and costs £4, it’s a winner all round in my books.

Tanya Burr Cosmetics Illuminating Powder; This powder is lovely for giving dull skin a dewy glow, especially this time of year! I want to get hold of this in other shades too, but i’m also on a tight budget at the moment and should be saving all my pennies, such a first world dilemma!

I’ve also been loving the Benefit Goof Proof brow pencil, Nyx Warm Neutrals eye palette, Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara and this Rimmel Stay Matte lipstick. And lastly not forgetting the Spectrum brushes that I’ve also been loving! I’m excited for spring to roll around so I can bring out the dewy skin, pastel shades and pretty pink lipsticks. What beauty products have you been loving in the month of January? Let me know in the comments below.

On another note I’ve been trying to improve my flatlay photos, I’d love some advice and tips so let me know below! 👇🏼
