For most people, winter means dry, cracked skin. Dry air blasted out by office heating and your car, and then the icy blast of the wind as you walk out the door don’t do your skin any favours. But those with skin conditions, such as eczema, winter can leave your skin feeling worse than ever.
I’m lucky that the flare ups on my face are now very few and far between so i’ve been able to introduce a few new skincare products to help battle my dry skin.
Body Shop shea butter lip balm
It’s important to keep those lips moisturised and protected from the elements and this shea butter lip balm does just that! It’s really thick and luxurious and is perfect for popping in your handbag or keeping on your desk at work.
Body Shop almond milk and honey hand cream
This hand cream smells incredible and its fab for moisturising dry, chapped hands. It’s also gentle on sensitive skin too!
Body Shop vitamin E sink in moisture mask
After my face has stopped flaring my skin is still fragile and I have to be careful what I apply. I came across this moisturiser in the post Christmas Body Shop sale and it’s made a huge difference to my skin. Normally at the end of the day my dry patches are really bad and obvious, but with this cream I’ve noticed my skin is still hydrated at the end of the day, a definite thumbs up in my book!
Body Shop oils of life face oil
I’ve had this in my skincare collection for a while. I don’t use it everyday, just a couple of times a week to help boost moisture in my skin. Side note: if you suffer from eczema like me take care using this, it can sting if your skin is broken.
Dermalogica ultra calming cleanser
Okay, so this cleanser is pricey so I know it won’t be for everyone. The dermalogica range is brilliant for sensitive skin and this cleanser is the only one I’ve found that doesn’t irritate my dry patches even further. It’s the first thing I use in the morning and it gives my skin the best start to the day.
Eyewake collagen gel
This is the newest product in my skincare collection. The team at Eyewake kindly sent it to me to try out. I love it, and you can read all about it in a review I wrote.
