February Birchbox Review
For a long time I have wanted to sign up to a beauty subscription box. There are so many out there ranging from £10 to £35 a month all with a different range of products, it was too hard to choose! After looking into all the boxes on the UK market and their reviews I decided on Birchbox. It’s both affordable, at £10 a month and had great reviews of the products it includes each month!
I’m going to do a little review and first impression each month, starting with my February box!
Before I go into the products I just want to say how beautiful the box is! Yes, it’s just a box but its beautiful and I don’t i’ll be able to part with it for a while!
Right then, into what’s included in the box!
Spectrum Collections Eye Contour Brush
This full size eye brush is probably my favourite item in the box. The bristles are super soft and it blends eyeshadows like a dream. The white and copper handle is my favourite colour combo, I might just have to take a look at the full Spectrum brush collection…bye bye wages!
POP Beauty Eyeshadow Trio, Shade Champagne Mocha
The shades in the palette are beautiful, shimmery and I will probably use them most for an evening makeup look. The shadows are creamy, pigmented and blend really well. When used together the shades create a perfect smokey eye look, use them with the Spectrum brush also in the box and you’re good to go!
Show Beauty Premiere Finishing Spray
This is the only product in the box that I can’t make up my mind about. It’s great at holding my style in all day and doesn’t leave my hair feeling heavy or greasy, BUT I cannot wrap my head around the smell. It’s rather bizarre and for me, almost unpleasant, and it lingers once I have put it on my hair so I can smell it all day. It might be just me, but I can’t decide it I like it or not. I will have to keep using it to find out.
Beaver Professional Daily Moisture Conditioning Spray
I love, love, love this spray! I have used it every time I’ve washed my hair and it leaves it feeling soft and full of life. Just spray onto damp hair, massage in and style! My hair can often feel dry and dull and this product has brought it back to life. I will definitely be repurchasing this when I run out.
Keene Hydration Mask Therapy
This is the only product in the box I haven’t used yet, my eczema has been flaring up lately so I have been avoid using anything that could make it worse. I’ll either wait till my skin is better before I se this or give it to a friend or my mum!
