Makeup Obsession Eye Makeup Look

Spread the love

My makeup spending ban was going really well until I saw Boots were stocking Makeup Obsession customisable palettes, and well I just had to get one didn’t I.

I purchased five autumn/winter eyeshadows and a highlighter too. Boots also stocked contour products and blushes, all of which click really easily into the empty palettes. I was going to get the rose gold palette but I got a black one came free with the order…so maybe next time!

I created this super easy, autumn copper eye look with a winged liner. Here is step by step how I did it!

Prime your eyes

I don’t have a specific eye primer, but concealer works just fine. I used the collection lasting perfection concealer, just a little as a base before applying the eye shadows. It helps them last longer and they don’t crease!

Apply a base colour

I used the light orange shade, cinnamon in the palette and put it all over my lid, this will be used as a transition/base shade.

Crease Colour

I then used the shade burnt, and blended it into the crease with my Real Techniques crease brush.

Time for glitter

Now for my favourite part, I used the shade Cosmo all over my lid, I wet the brush first as this resulted in better pigmentation when applying the shadow. After this I used a blending brush and the shade burnt back into the crease and blended.

Winged Liner

I did a simple winged liner, using my Rimmel Exaggerate Eye Liner. I say simple but the liner is normally the most frustrating step in my make up, one eye always ends up wonkier than the other #FirstWorldProblems

Lower Lash Line

I used my Soap and Glory Smoulder Kohl liner on my waterline and then the shade burnt under my eye and blended it out, using the Real Techniques Accent Brush.

The final step before mascara, highlight the inner corner of my eye. It opens up your eye and brings the look together. I used the highlighter, called bronze and just popped a little in the corner of my eye. I used my Benefit Roller Lash Mascara to complete the eye look.

Finish off the look

I used my L’Oreal True Match Foundation and Lumi Concealer to hide the dark circles under my eyes. My Benefit Hoola bronzer to contour and Sleek Solstice palette to highlight. I filled in my brows with the Benefit Gimme Brow in the shade 1. And finally, my NYX Liquid Suede Lipstick in the shade sandstorm.

And voila! All done, I would love to know what you think of this look and the step by step guide. I was going to do a YouTube video but want to find out what you all think of the tutorial in blog form instead! Leave me a message below and let me know!

I would like to apologise for the quality of the photos in this blog. It appears that my camera charger has gone walkies so I had to settle for my phone instead!
