Pick ‘n’ Mix: Emma Hardie Facial Oil

Spread the love

It’s time for another Feel Unique sample review!

Emma Hardie Brilliance Facial Oil: The Basics

I have been testing out the Emma Hardie Brilliant Facial Oil. I got a 5ml sample, which I was pretty impressed with for a sample size. A little goes a long way so this will definitely last me a little while.

I had a look at the ingredients over on the Emma Hardie website and this product contains nine essentials oils: Palma Rose, Orange, Mint, Vanilla, Geranium, Camomile, Lemon, Rose and Lavender. This oil smells divine, it feels quite relaxing when you apply it, like you’ve been on a spa day!

Introducing the oil into my skincare routine

I incorporated the oil into my skin care routine, using it after cleansing in the evening and occasionally in the morning before applying my make up. This product leaves my skin feeling soft and fresh. It’s a really luxurious product, not surprising with all the essential oils that are in the ingredients! As I sit writing this i’ve put a little oil on the back of my hand, I cannot get enough of how amazing it smells and how it makes my skin look so glowy (see picture above!)

Using facial oil with foundation

I have seen quite a few people mixing their foundation with a little face oil so I thought this would be a good opportunity to try this for myself! It instantly made my foundation look super glowy which is a look I love. Now, this is where I felt a little disappointed, although it made my foundation look great it meant that it didn’t settle onto my skin at all and it transferred onto EVERYTHING, my phone, clothes, hands, the lot. I know there are oils that are designed to be added to foundation for that glowy look and this wasn’t one of them. I’m a little gutted because it did look so good! However, when I use this as part of my routine before putting foundation on it works great at keeping my skin hydrated so i’ll just stick to that for now!

Would I recommend it?

The oil costs £34 for a 30ml bottle, it seems pricey but a little really does go a long way, you only need a couple of drops at a time. If you’re looking for something luxurious that will keep your skin hydrated and feeling amazing then I would get your hands on this, I may well be purchasing it once I run out of my sample bottle!

NB: Sorry about the quality of the photos, I haven’t unpacked my study lights yet!
