Review – L’Oreal Nude Magique Cushion

Spread the love

L’Oreal is my favourite drugstore brand for foundations. There has only ever been one of their foundations that I haven’t got on with, the infallible matte foundation – probably because I have dry skin and matte foundations are the devil for dry skin!

As soon as I saw the Nude Magique Cushion on the shelves I had to get my hands on it. I had never used cushion ¬†foundation before so was excited to try this. You came here for a review…so here it is!

Application

The product comes with it’s own application sponge, I wasn’t massively impressed as it is difficult to actually hold and apply the foundation at the same time. However I think it is perfect if you are travelling and because the applicator sits within the case it means it doesn’t get product all over your make up bag, like a regular beauty blender or brush might. I found the best way to apply this foundation was with my Real Techniques miracle sponge!

Colour match

I picked the shade rose vanilla as this is what matches me best in the True Match foundation. It was perfect, glowy and I think is great for summer.

Coverage

This is a light to buildable foundation. I think it is just right for an everyday foundation and covers the worst of my dark circles and provides a lovely dewy base for my makeup.

Staying power

Not too bad! No foundation stays around for too long on me. By mid/late afternoon my skin starts to get a bit drier and this causes my foundation to start clinging to dry patches and it comes off around my chin, nose and eyes. This foundation doesn’t seem to cling to those patches too bad and because of the way this product is packaged I can pop it in my handbag and touch up those patches on the go!

Overall opinion

Not my favourite foundation in my collection but definitely one I will use throughout summer when I want a easy dewy foundation look! One of the better ones for those will drier skin and perfect if you’re busy and on the go!
