Body Shop haul and first impressions

Spread the love

So, after sharing my everyday skin routine I decided to shake things up a little and dip my toe into the world of The Body Shop.

I spent nearly an hour in my local store with the most lovely lady who sat me down, discussed what my skin was best suited to gave me a range of products that admittedly I was a little sceptical about but very excited to try.

Some of the products I picked up. My little plant is featuring in so many of my photos at the moment! Oops!

I have seen quite a few people who have fallen in love with the ‘Drops of Youth’ range and it is one of the ranges that I went in to look at. Luckily, the lady in the shop told me it was great for dry skin, I was already hooked on the idea of getting a few of the products! She tested a few on my skin to see what I thought and to make sure I didn’t have any immediate reactions.

I eventually got my hands on the Youth Essence Lotion, Concentrate and Youth Cream. Since I bought these last week I have used them every morning after washing and cleansing my face. Even though I have only had these for a few days I have already noticed a difference in my skin. My face is soft and glowing and I have felt so much more confident. The only thing I have found is that I have had one day where my eczema has been a little bad and putting these products on my face did sting a little. So I have decided to only use these when my eczema isn’t playing up.

I also picked up the Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil. This smells amazing and gets all of my makeup off in one go, including all waterproof eye makeup!

I am definitely going to continue using this product, it doesn’t leave my skin feeling sore or tight and alongside the drops of youth range I think I may be onto a winner with my skin care routine.

As I have only used these products for a few days I still need to make up my mind 100% as my skin is very temperamental and could reject these products completely. But right now, I am loving them!
