So here goes, my first post on a little makeup haul I did recently! My makeup collection has doubled in the past 12 months, and I will apologise to my bank now for the purchases I make in 2016!
Smashbox Full Exposure palette
A Christmas present from my boyfriend, yes, my boyfriend got me makeup and he got it right, result! He is definitely a keeper!
This is the first high end eye shadow palette I have owned and I can honestly say it is AMAZING! The pigmentation, the staying power and super easy to blend.
This is definitely my new go to palette, for everyday and evening looks. Im hoping to start a Youtube channel and will share some tutorials using this palette, stay tuned!
L’Oreal Paris Infallible 24h foundation
I have heard really good things about this foundation, so I had to get my hands on it. I got the shade 120 Vanilla, which I think is a little too dark for me, especially in winter so I may have to go and get the slightly lighter shade 015 Porcelain.
I would say the coverage is medium, and it does last pretty much all day. I have really dry skin and suffer from eczema so finding a foundation that doesn’t cling to dry patches and lasts more than an hour isn’t easy. I bought Smashbox Studio Skin 15 hour hydrating foundation, which is great and gives me the results I want, but the L’Oreal Infallible 24h is just as good and at a third of the price you can’t really go wrong!
If you don’t have this in your makeup bag I would definitely recommend going out and buying it.
Soap & Glory Wonderbronze Shimmer Brick
This product is my most recent purchase and I am not quite sure what I think of it yet. It is really pigmented and when I first put it on it looked a bit like a dark brown smudge across my cheekbones. But after a little experimenting I have found it is actually quite nice. To get the result I want I just add a small amount with the tip of my finger and then blend it out with a fluffy brush.
Still to decide what I really think of this product so will keep you updated!
Soap & Glory Supercat liquid black eyeliner pen
Although I have only owned this for a week it is my new holy grail liquid eyeliner.
The precision tip makes it really easy and quick to apply. For the first time in a while it hasn’t taken me several attempts to get the winged eyeliner I want. I have a feeling this will become a regular appearance in my makeup bag.
NYX Wonder Stick
Boots started stocking NYX cosmetics not so long ago and couldn’t resist making a little purchase. I have always used powder contour kits but wanted to try creams without breaking the bag. This little beauty is only £10 and I absolutely love it! I went for the shade medium, even though I am really pale but this blends so well, so the end result is great!
I think this product is great for those that are new to cream contouring and want to have a go without making their credit card scream with fear. Get your hands on this if you haven’t already done so.
L’Oreal Paris Volume Million Lashes Excess Mascara
Mascara seems to be the cosmetic product I hoard the most, I had a drawer full of it at one point. My lashes are pretty much none existent and I don’t get on with false lashes. The wand on this mascara is brilliant at separating what lashes I have. I will definitely be repurchasing this!
Let me know what you think of this post, I am new to this blogging thing and not entirely sure what I am doing. Any tips or comments are welcomed!
